Common questions

Does Muslim give fatwas?

No. It shows the original text letter for letter, with its reference and link, and refers fatwa questions and personal cases to the competent authority: the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta.

Where do the texts come from?

From fixed, trusted sources, copied as they are with no change. Their list, what we take from each, and its version are in «Sources and thanks» in the app’s settings.

I found a mistake in a text, a translation or an explanation

Press «Report a mistake» in the «About the source» sheet under the text, so its place, source and version reach us. Or write to us in the form below.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts and no sign-in; your bookmarks, notes and daily portion stay on your device.

Why does the app ask for my location?

To compute prayer times and the qibla on your device; your exact position is never sent to any server. You can pick your city instead. The details are in the privacy policy.

Prayer notifications do not reach me

Check that notifications are allowed for Muslim in your device’s settings. Notifications are scheduled on your device for the coming days, and the app renews them whenever you open it.

In which language can I ask?

In any language. The original Arabic text always shows, with its meaning in your language when a published translation of it exists.
